Resources

UKAD provides various resources to help archivists and other information professionals in carrying out their work. We have already created a detailed indexing tutorial, designed to give an introduction to indexing, explain its importance and give plenty of examples and exercises. We are also looking to create case studies to help you with practical and concrete examples of what others have done.

Case Studies

Read and learn about projects colleagues have been involved with. Including: the Genesis Portal for Women's Studies, Hull History Centre Online Catalogue and the Kings College Archive of the Month.

Indexing Tutorial

This is a detailed tutorial on all aspects of indexing. Please feel free to give us feedback, and please note that the tutorial may develop over time.

Documents

We summarised the results of the 2009 indexing survey in ARC (June 2010) and you can view our summary here (.doc).
