Archives for the 21st Century
UKAD is identified as a key element of delivering Archives for the 21st Century under the strand comprehensive online access for archive discovery: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documents/archives-for-the-21st-century-in-action.pdf
Our vision is born out of the original National Archives Network vision and recommendations (National Council on Archives 1998): http://www.ncaonline.org.uk/materials/archivesonline.pdf (PDF doc)
A Framework for Development
We have a framework for addressing the UKAD objectives, categorized by potential international, national and smaller scale activities. Our aim is to populate this framework to indicate progress and potential means for progress with our objectives.

The UKAD Steering Committee
We have a Committee that meets three times a year including representatives of each of the networks and representatives of archive software users.
First UKAD Forum at The National Archives, Kew, London
The UKAD Forum was a great success. It gave delegates an opportunity to connect with the latest thinking around online access to archives and archive data, to make connections with colleagues and to promote projects and ideas around making archives more accessible through online development.
A number of the presentations were recorded and are available from The National Archives' website
Some of the slides are available on Slideshare: http://www.slideshare.net/tag/ukad.
Our Website
The UKAD website was designed and created by Jane Stevenson and Neeta Patel from Mimas, The University of Manchester
